Thanks for checking out our web site. The Charlotte area has every conceivable type of church including many right here in Union County. Community Church is not a new church, having been in the county since 1981. I am not a new pastor, having served here since 1990.

Our church is striving to be a place where we study God’s Word, apply it to our lives, and live it in our communities. I say communities because we currently have members and attendees from four different counties and many towns and cities in between. For that reason we have an unusual Sunday worship schedule that begins at 10 AM with worship and preaching. Then at 11:15 we have Care Groups, small groups of twelve to fifteen, where we discuss the sermon, pray together, and share how God is working in our lives. Our youth group and children’s ministries provide excellent student-teacher ratios and incorporate many different learning styles.

When people are looking for a church, they usually have a list of requirements. They want to know the size. Our church is a medium sized church. We are small enough that people know others well, but large enough to have a variety of ministries. They ask about worship. Our worship strives to be pleasing to God. He has given us a variety of talented musicians who use their gifts to lead us in praise singing both contemporary and traditional styles of music. What about the preaching? The preaching style is expository, going verse by verse through God’s Word. Can I find a place to minister? It is easy to be involved in ministry at Community Church. We want people to be involved in the areas where God has gifted them.
