“HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS ARE THE RICHES OF OUR LIVES”
I preached this truth last Sunday. Count on hearing it again. Jesus taught (John 13:34,35) that our love for one another in the body of Christ will be the evidence to others that we are His disciples. There is a reason why solitary confinement is considered to be severe punishment. And Jesus' teaching about the “rich man” who went to hell does not show the man with anyone. He is alone, apart from God and apart from anyone else; begging to have someone warn his family members to do all they can to not come to where he is. When we fail to appreciate the value of our relationships with God, friends and family, we too easily let selfish motives deny us the pleasures that those relationships could have given us.
