Bonfire Student Ministries
Opportunities for our Youth

We seek to provide quality youth ministry with solid Bible teaching, opportunities for service, and fun activities. Middle School and High School students receive personal attention from godly lay people who seek to form them spiritually and help them grow in the path of discipleship. We offer:
- a youth care group on Sunday morning
- a Wednesday evening youth group meeting for friendship, fun, worship, teaching and prayer.
- 180 Degrees - a gathering of youth from area churches one Sunday evening each month
- a wide variety of special events such as ski trips, concerts, camping trips, sports activities, and service opportunities.
- opportunities for youth to serve as ushers, sing and play on the worship teams, participate in our wheelchair ministry, do nursery duty, visit a local nursing home, and assist with all kinds of special projects.
- Summer mission trips to places such as Bolivia, Virginia, Tennessee, South Carolina and Honduras.

January 25
The weather looks pretty sketchy, so we'll have to skip having our bonfire this month. We are going through a series on Christian character, taken from the book of Proverbs. This week, we're going to tackle every kid's favorite: obedience!
In Proverbs, we'll be looking at these additional ones:
- wisdom - November 2
- stewardship (having God's perspective on money) - November 9
- humility - November 16, 30
- contentment - December 7
- wisdom in speech- January 4-11
- justice - January 18
- obedience
- self-control (patience/not losing your temper)
- virtue (moral goodness)
- chastity
- honesty
- security
- discipline
As a reminder, the Christian character traits we looked at last school year were:
- Diligence
- Respectfulness
- Courage & Faith
- Biblical self-esteem
- Servanthood
- Commitment
- Compassion
- Purity
