Meet our Staff

Dr. R. B. Dow, senior pastor

R. B. Dow grew up in Charlotte. He has a BA from Furman University, a Masters of Divinity, with honors from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and a Doctor of Ministry from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. He and his wife Pat were married in 1977 and served together as short term missionaries to the Philippines and Hong Kong before moving to West Germany in 1979, where R.B. headed Campus Crusade’s European music ministry. R.B. has served three churches as pastor, coming to Monroe in 1990.

Mrs. Julia Shadrick, office manager

Julia has been a Community Church member since 1987 and has served seventeen years as the office manager. Her growing up years were spent in Thomasville, NC. She first served as a church secretary in Salisbury, NC and has taken various secretarial/office managing, computer, and counseling courses. Julia and husband Wayne have been married thirty-nine years. They have four daughters, three of whom are married, and two grandchildren.
