Meet our Staff

Dr. R. B. Dow, senior pastor

R. B. Dow grew up in Charlotte. He has a BA from Furman University, a Masters of Divinity, with honors from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and a Doctor of Ministry from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. He and his wife Pat were married in 1977 and served together as short term missionaries to the Philippines and Hong Kong before moving to West Germany in 1979, where R.B. headed Campus Crusade’s European music ministry. R.B. has served three churches as pastor, coming to Monroe in 1990. RB and Pat have three adult children, one of whom is married.

Mrs. Julia Shadrick, office manager

Julia has been a Community Church member since 1987 and has served as the office manager since 1990. Her growing up years were spent in Thomasville, NC. She first served as a church secretary in Salisbury, NC and has taken various secretarial/office managing, computer, and counseling courses. Julia and husband Wayne were married in 1968. They have four daughters, three of whom are married, and four grandchildren. 

Volunteer Staff

Tom & Lily Bogle, Youth Ministry Coordinators

Tom and his family have been part of Community Church since 1998. Tom grew up in Minnesota and his wife, Lily is from Honduras. They are members of Wycliffe Bible Translators and serve at the JAARS Center in Waxhaw, NC. They have served as volunteers in several ministries at Community. They assumed responsibility for the youth ministry in 2007. Their teenage daughters Joylily and Amy assist with the worship times.

WONDERFUL WEDNESDAYS

Wonderful Wednesdays have resumed for 2012. Enjoy food and fellowship at 6:00, followed by programs for all ages. Main course supplied -- bring a side dish to share.
