From the Pastor
It’s the week before Christmas and if you’re like me you’ve still got a lot to do to get ready for the Big Day. It reminds me of a joke I once heard. “Why is Christmas just like a day at the office?” Answer: “You do all the work and the fat guy with the suit gets all the credit.” That’s too true. So, with packages to wrap, cards to send to family, and maybe even presents to buy, let me encourage you not to forget something very important.
In Psalm 46:10 God says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” During the Christmas rush, let me encourage you to take some time each day to stop and consider what Christmas is all about. God gave His only Son. Inconceivable! Stop and “recalibrate” your outlook and attitude so that you won’t be swept away by the rush of the season.
Think about that,
