Think About This

Tonight the Mega Sports camp begins.  We have worked and prayed to prepare for this and now it is time to see what God wants to do through this event. If you look at the schedule below you will notice that several of the regular weekly activities are cancelled this week due to the camp.  There are a few areas in need of more help, should you find that you have some available time in the evenings. I would encourage you to stop by the church and see what’s going on, even if you can’t work. One thing all of you can do is pray. Continue praying for the children and their parents who come to the camp.  Pray for opportunities for Christ to be shared. Pray for safety for the children, especially with extreme heat forecast for this week.  I believe God is going to do something special this week.

I would also like to wish you all a very Happy Father’s Day. I have fond memories of my Dad and the sacrifices he made for me. I don’t know what your relationship with your father was, but I do know what God’s Word says.

"Honor your father and mother"--which is the first commandment with a promise--"that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth." Ephesians 6:2-3 (NIV)
